AUTOMIST - AUTOMATIC INSECT CONTROL SYSTEM

Reduce Mosquitos Safely & Automatically with Automist and Enjoy your Yard

The Automist system is a permanent system that is installed within your property to control Mosquitos, No-see-Ums, and other biting insects. The Automist system not only repels insects - it kills them.

Your Health
Biting insects can cause severe skin irritation and spread diseases such as West Nile Virus, Malaria, Dengue Fever, and several forms of Encephalitis. These diseases can affect you, your children, and your pets. Automist has the ability to lower insect populations within its perimeter, which lowers your risk of insect related health concerns.

Your Convenience
Automist systems can automatically spray when everyone is absent - late evening, night, or early morning. An optional remote control is available for system operation when additional misting is desired between timed cycles. The sprays offered are insecticides that provide maximum effectiveness and are EPA approved and registered.

How the System Works

A timer, motor, and pump sit on top of a liquid reservoir. Nylon tubing is plumbed from the pump to the nozzles. The nozzles emit a fine insecticide mist that kills insects. The mist floats in the air, getting up into trees, shrubbery, and foliage, then settles to the ground. The system is controlled by the timer and is programmed to fit your lifestyle.

Misting nozzles can be strategically mounted around your yard providing a barrier of protection.

Automist, with its very high control rate, is effective and completely automatic. Automist gives a synchronized spray that evenly distributes coverage of insecticide over an entire area during each timed spray cycle. Automist systems can be installed conveniently at the time of new construction, when additions are added, or in already existing areas to effectively reduce insect populations. The Automist system comes in either a 30 or 55-gallon poly reservoir and can easily be expanded to accommodate growth. (A Heavy-Duty model is also available for very large areas.)
A durable all-weather cover provides protection in outdoor areas or from dust indoors and is standard on all systems.
Automist electric timers are very user friendly. They combine the ultimate in reliability and ease of use. The gasketed enclosure door keeps dust and dirt out.
The nozzle assembly provides accurate delivery of insecticide. Every nozzle is stainless steel and has a built-in check-valve that closes at 60 psi to eliminate dripping. Nozzle assemblies come standard with 1/4" Presto-Loc brass fittings and are connected by heavy-duty clear or black nylon tubing.

Automist systems include stainless steel vane pumps and brass pressure fittings coupled to 1/2 hp equivalent motors. This compact package offers accurate high-pressure delivery as well as quiet, reliable service with optional wind and rain detectors and remote controls.
The float assembly consists of a switch inside the barrel to provide accurate low liquid level sensing. This float shuts the system down when the reservoir is low - to protect the pump. A 100 mesh suction filter is standard on all systems.

What is the Mini-Mist?
Mini-Mist is the solution for insect control in smaller areas. This convenient automatic insect spraying system consists of a 14-gallon poly barrel, stainless steel vane pump with motor, and timer assembly along with other standard components. The Mini-Mist system normally supplies up to 8 nozzles making it ideal for 2-4 stall stables or patios. The Mini-Mist uses the same high quality nylon tubing and stainless steel nozzles used by the Automist system.

Layout
Residential & Commercial

The area most commonly protected by automatic insect control is the back yard of your home. Nozzles can be placed around the perimeter of fence lines and on eves of houses. Nozzles can also be placed in foliage, on outbuildings, in gardens, and on sheds. Help defend your entire yard or horse stable. We can usually put it where
you need it.

Horse Stables & Barns

This automatic insect control system was originally designed for insect control in stables. We can install it in your horse stable, livestock barn, or pasture. We can make your horse more comfortable by significantly suppressing Mosquitoes, No-See-Ums, Flies, and other Flying Insects.

Labeled for Use on Livestock & Pets
Pyrethrum liquid concentrate, produced from the chrysanthemum flower, is a very versatile insecticide. It can be used alone as a clean-up or pre-harvest spray where other materials cannot be used because of residue restrictions. It can be also used as a tank mix with other insecticides for fast flushing of insects. Labeled for many types of uses including, but not limited to, around homes and buildings, in canneries, food and nonfood areas of food processing plants, bakeries, rice and wheat mills, restaurants, tobacco warehouses, grain elevators, and warehouses. It can be used on sweet potatoes in storage, on harvested fruits and vegetables, on a large variety of stored products (rice, dried fruit, beans, raisins and more), as a grain protectant, on ornamentals, and growing crops both outdoors and in greenhouses. It is also for use on livestock and in barns, dairies, milking parlors, milking rooms, and poultry houses.

The Product We Use
Pyrethrum "Nature's Insecticide"

6% Pyrethrin / 60% PBO liquid concentrate controls a large number of insects including - Ants, Aphids, Armyworms, Asparagus Beetle, Blister Beetles, Cabbage Looper, Caterpillars, Cockroaches, 12-spotted Cucumber Beetle, Colorado Potato Beetle, Corn Earworm, Crickets, Cross-striped Cabbageworm, Cucumber Beetles, Deer Fly, Diamondback Larvae, Fireworms, Flea Beetle, Fruit Flies, Fruittree Leafroller, Grape Leafhopper, Green Peach Aphid, Greenhouse Thrips, Gypsy Moth, Harlequin Bug, Hornets, Horn Fly, Horse Fly, House Fly, Imported Cabbageworm, Leafhopper, Leafrollers, Leaftiers, Lice, Mexican Bean Beetle, Mosquitoes, Potato Leafhopper, Psyllids, Silverfish, Skippers, Stable fly, Stink Bugs, Tanbanids, Thrips, Vinegar Flies, Wasps, Webworms, Whiteflies and Yellowjackets and more.

P.B.O. is an emulsifiable synergist in liquid concentrate form for use in combination with insecticides, especially synthetic pyrethroids, as a tank mix to overcome resistance that insects develop with constant use of synthetic insecticides.
P.B.O. is a unique tank additive that restores activity against resistance strains of insects. It acts by inhibiting naturally occuring enzymes that would otherwise degrade the insecticide molecule.
P.B.O. breaks through the insect's defense and its synergistic activity makes the insecticide more powerful and effective. With the high cost of insecticides, P.B.O. effectively reduces the cost per gallon of spray solution by allowing the applicator to use less active ingredient to obtain the mortality rate desired.
P.B.O. will prolong the usefulness of insecticides by overcoming resistance, improving knockdown and increasing kill. Improved control means fewer applications of insecticides, thus providing cost savings as well as environmental benefits.
