Our Termite Control Warranty covers service calls for suspected termite issues including your house and attached garage, as well as spot treatment applications if an active termite infestation is observed. If during the life of this warranty an inspection shows a reinfestation by subterranean termites, Commonwealth Pest Control will furnish the chemicals and labor necessary to control the reinfestation at no cost to the warranty holder.
At each renewal appointment, we perform checks on wood moisture content, inspect for evidence or conducive conditions of other wood destroying insects and moisture problems, and monitor for pest and rodent entryways and activity. The warranty is transferable to new owners provided the company is informed within 60 days of property transfer.
This warranty covers liquid chemical treatment restricted to the structure of your premises. Commonwealth Pest Control will apply treatment and issue control at no extra cost should an infestation of Powder Post Beetles or Wood Borers be found in the treated areas during the warranty period.
The owner agrees to maintain the treated area free and clear from any factor or condition contributing to infestation, such as moisture from drains and faulty plumbing, standing water, firewood, trash, or wood in direct contact with the ground. This warranty is limited to control only.
If during the life of this warranty an inspection of the treated area shows signs of active fungus, Commonwealth Pest Control will furnish at no cost to the policyholder a spot-treatment as needed. Regular periodical inspections of the treated property will be made by an authorized agent of Commonwealth Pest Control.
The owner agrees to fully cooperate and maintain the treated area free and clear from any factor or condition contributing to fungus such as moisture from drains, faulty plumbing, inadequate ventilation, and standing water. This warranty is transferable to new owners provided the company is informed within 60 days of property transfer.
NOTE: Warranty does not cover interior/exterior or any health-related mold or fungi or any type of mold or mold remediation.
Commonwealth Pest Control will apply a moisture barrier on the applicable area of the crawl space. We will replace a portion of the moisture barrier as is necessary to help in the prevention of dampness, fungus, or decay during the period the warranty is in force.
NOTE: This is not a warranty against damages or claims to the structure or its contents occasioned by moisture, wood destroying fungi, fungus decay, or health-related mold.
Warranties automatically renew each year and require an annual inspection during your specific renewal month. A few months prior to your renewal month, a reminder notice will be mailed to your property address urging you to call or email our office to schedule an appointment.
If we do not hear from you, our inspector will pay a courtesy visit when in your neighborhood to try to make contact. Our office will then mail you an invoice offer to continue the coverage. If you do not wish to continue, simply call or email us and the invoice offer will be removed — you will not be obligated to make any payment.
The annual fee you pay each year is for the renewal of the warranty, not the inspection. There is no charge for the inspection; however, the annual fee is due at the time of the appointment.
Your annual inspection will include the perimeter exterior of the house, attached garage, basement, crawl space, or interior of the house if the foundation is a slab.
